Now until October 2011, First energy is offering insanely large rebates, that may cover up to 100% of the installed project cost.  Most rebate programs cap the amount of incentives at 50% of the project cost. The new incentives are valid for Ohio Edison, Toledo Edison, and the Illuminating Company. These are some of the most aggressive rebates I have ever seen. They will cover upwards of 80% for the entire project cost to upgrade. Basically for any job with over $3,000 in rebates the incentives are calculated at $0.80 per watt reduced. This is for ALL inside lighting, and another rebate of $0.50 / watt reduced for the outside. The rebate applies to old office lighting such as T12 fluorescent 2'x4'as well, T12 shop fluorescent fixtures, etc.   There has NEVER been a better time to sell in Ohio. These will not last. Basically for around the cost of replacing HID lamps, you can get entire new fixtures installed and save over 50% straight off the lighting portion of the electric bill!

The Rebates for the ComEd through the Smart Ideas for your business have been announced. As Program Year 3 is wrapping up with about 6.5 million left out of the 25 million in incentive funding. One of the notable changes in the Program Year 4 is a favorable increase in High Bay retrofits. PY3, had a incentive of $0.30 / watt reduced. In PY4 that incentive has been increased $0.05 to $0.35 / watt reduced.  This will give a typical 400 watt Metal Halide, High Pressure Sodium, or other HID fixture using about 458 watts about $84 in incentives through retrofiting with a 6 Lamp T8 High Bay Fluorescent!  We're looking at a very quick payback with this amazing rebate!  Additionally, a reduction from 458 watts to 217 with our state of the art Fluorescent fixtures. We use the most effective Miro 4 alanod reflectors, and high efficiency electronic ballast.
